Senior Project Manager
Location: Houston, TX
Compensation: $140k – $175k + bonus
Car Allowance – $1,100/month and company gas card

About The Role: This senior project management role is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of complex commercial mechanical construction projects in a plan-and-spec environment. The position carries ownership of project outcomes, including schedule, cost, quality, and client coordination.

You’ll operate as a senior leader across assigned projects, working closely with field leadership, internal teams, and external partners to drive execution. This role is ideal for someone who can take ownership of both the work and the relationships behind it, while continuing to grow into broader project and team leadership over time.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead execution of commercial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Own project planning, scheduling, manpower strategy, and execution approach
  • Manage procurement of equipment, subcontractors, and key project resources
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, cost tracking, and schedule alignment
  • Partner closely with superintendents and field leadership to drive day-to-day execution and productivity
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support project success and future opportunities
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality expectations
  • Review and validate project estimates, budgets, and cost assumptions
  • Lead project planning meetings to align teams on scope, schedule, and contract requirements
  • Maintain and update project schedules, staffing plans, and execution milestones
  • Perform regular jobsite visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and reinforce safety and quality standards
  • Manage change orders, pricing, and documentation tied to scope adjustments
  • Lead project meetings with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Support and mentor project managers, assistant PMs, and field staff as needed

About You

  • 10+ years of experience managing commercial mechanical construction projects
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects in a plan-and-spec, GC-driven environment
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Experience managing project financials, including forecasting, cost control, and change management
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to guide teams and influence outcomes
  • Confident communicator with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in schedule-driven environments
  • Experience with BIM coordination and construction technology is a plus
