Project Manager
Location: Austin, TX​​​​​​​
Compensation: $100k – $140k + 50% bonus
Car Allowance – $1,100/month and company gas card

About The Role: This project management role is responsible for leading and executing commercial mechanical construction projects in a plan-and-spec environment. The position manages projects from preconstruction handoff through closeout, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

This role is well-suited for a project manager who wants more ownership and visibility. You’ll be trusted to run your projects, build relationships with clients and partners, and play a direct role in driving successful outcomes and repeat work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout
  • Own project schedules, budgets, manpower planning, and overall execution
  • Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
  • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted scopes
  • Work closely with superintendents and field teams to drive day-to-day execution
  • Monitor job cost, productivity, and forecasting to protect project margins
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building strong working relationships
  • Identify and resolve project challenges related to scope, schedule, and cost
  • Lead project meetings and communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support project closeout including punch lists, final inspections, and turnover
  • Review takeoffs, pricing, and scope for change orders and project adjustments
  • Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to drive constructability
  • Maintain strong safety leadership across all assigned projects

About You

  • 5+ years of experience working on commercial mechanical construction projects, with exposure to project management responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems
  • Strong understanding of plan-and-spec project delivery and GC coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills with field teams, subcontractors, and clients
  • Comfortable taking ownership of projects and client relationships
  • Experience supporting or overseeing BIM coordination is a plus
