Production Engineer
Location: South Florida
Compensation: $85,000 – $115,000 base salary + bonus + Relocation Package

About the Role: This is a production leadership role with a growing equipment manufacturer building complex products for commercial, industrial, and mission critical environments. The right person will lead the daily factory operation, manage a production team of roughly 50 employees, and help drive output, safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

This is a strong fit for someone who knows how to run a real manufacturing floor, set clear expectations, coach supervisors and operators, solve production problems, and improve how work gets done. HVAC experience is not required; strong manufacturing operations leadership is what matters most.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead daily production and manufacturing operations to ensure finished equipment ships on time.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a production workforce of roughly 50 employees.
  • Set production goals, staffing plans, schedules, and workflow priorities across the floor.
  • Drive output, efficiency, safety, quality, productivity, and cost improvement across product lines.
  • Evaluate machine resources, staffing needs, bottlenecks, downtime, and production constraints.
  • Partner with manufacturing engineering, product engineering, quality, and leadership on ETO and new product builds.
  • Establish workflow policies that improve speed and efficiency without compromising safety or product quality.
  • Communicate production issues, resource needs, and operational roadblocks to senior leadership.

About You:

  • 5+ years of manufacturing operations experience in a management or supervisory capacity.
  • Experience leading production teams in a real manufacturing environment is required.
  • Background in industrial machinery, automotive, aerospace, defense, appliances, electronics, metal fabrication, or similar manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of production scheduling, staffing, throughput, downtime, safety, and quality.
  • Proven ability to train, coach, mentor, and hold production employees accountable.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, process improvement, and problem-solving tools.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, quality, maintenance, and plant leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
