Location: Cincinnati, OH

Compensation: $80k-$100k plus aggressive bonus structure

About The Role:
This role supports the estimating and preconstruction function for commercial mechanical projects in a plan-and-spec environment. The position focuses on material takeoffs, pricing support, and scope development for plumbing and HVAC/mechanical systems, working closely with senior estimators and preconstruction leadership.

This is a strong opportunity for an estimator with hands-on mechanical experience who wants to continue building estimating depth across multiple trades while gaining exposure to competitive GC-driven bidding.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform material takeoffs and assist with estimates for plumbing and HVAC/mechanical scopes
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and addenda to understand project scope and design intent
• Support pricing development using vendor quotes and subcontractor input
• Participate in project site walks and field verifications as needed
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and scope coverage
• Assist with assembling complete bid packages in a plan-and-spec environment
• Maintain organized estimate documentation and supporting spreadsheets
• Support senior estimators to ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and delivered on time
• Continue developing proficiency with estimating tools and digital takeoff software
• Maintain safety awareness during jobsite visits

About You:

• 3–5+ years of experience in commercial mechanical estimating, with exposure to both plumbing and HVAC systems
• Background in the mechanical trades or completion of an apprenticeship program is a strong plus
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents
• Solid math skills with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and basic estimating software
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple bid deadlines
• Willingness to learn new systems, tools, and estimating methods
• Professional communicator with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors
