Louisville, KY

HVAC & Refrigeration Service Account Manager

Growing HVAC

Function: Sales, Business Development

Function: Sales

Location: Louisville, KY

About the Role:

You’ll run an existing book of commercial HVAC and refrigeration accounts for an established mechanical service operation — quoting repairs and replacement equipment, laying out and pricing small projects, and staying in front of customers between the sale and the next one. New accounts come your way as they land, and the technical range of the seat covers both trades.

This is a strong fit for someone who has spent real time in commercial HVAC or refrigeration and would rather sell from technical credibility than from a script. You’re not starting cold — there is a book to work and a service department behind you — and carrying both HVAC and refrigeration means you can solve more of what a building actually needs instead of handing half of it to someone else.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manage an existing book of commercial HVAC and refrigeration accounts, and pick up new ones as they come in
  • Quote repairs and replacement equipment — the bread and butter of the seat
  • Lay out and price small projects, including new and replacement systems
  • Establish and hold relationships with new and existing clients, and stay in front of them after the sale
  • Negotiate contracts and sell solutions rather than defending a price
  • Develop and present proposals, and support RFP and RFQ responses
  • Work with service operations leadership and the technicians in both local and regional offices to keep customers satisfied
  • Report weekly on contract, project, and repair opportunities, and keep monthly sales and commission reporting accurate

About You:

  • 10+ years in commercial HVAC or refrigeration, or closely related technical sales — required
  • Real technical understanding of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems — refrigeration matters here, this is not an HVAC-only seat
  • Able to price repairs, replacements, and small projects accurately, and protect margin while you do it
  • Comfortable negotiating contracts and presenting to owners, facility teams, and property managers
  • Works well with technicians and service staff at every level — a good part of your credibility comes from them
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; heavy field and technical experience carries equal weight

What We Offer:

  • Base salary plus commission on what you sell
  • An existing account base to work, not a cold start
  • Both trades in your bag — HVAC and refrigeration widen what you can sell into a building
  • Small projects alongside service work, so you are not capped at repair tickets
  • An established service operation with local and regional technician support behind you
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package

  • Max. file size: 100 MB.
