Location: Cincinnati, OH (Dayton candidates considered)

Compensation: $140,000 – $150,000 base + 35% bonus + $4,00/month car allowance + gas card

About the Role: This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role within a growing commercial mechanical service operation.

This position is designed for someone who can take ownership of an established service business and scale it — operationally and financially. You’ll be responsible for driving performance across service delivery, customer retention, and revenue growth.

The business is built around long-term relationships with building owners, with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance agreements and ongoing service work. This is not a bid-driven construction environment — it’s a service-first model focused on recurring revenue and execution.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Own the performance of a $10M–$15M service operation, with a mandate to scale toward $30M
  • Strong financial acumen and P&L mastery
  • Lead day-to-day service operations including field execution, dispatch, and overall team performance
  • Ensure the existing safety culture, processes and best practices continue to be followed and top of mind to the organization.
  • Drive profitability through labor utilization, pricing discipline, and contract management
  • Oversee customer relationships, ensuring high retention and long-term contract growth
  • Build and develop teams across service, operations, and support functions
  • Establish accountability across the organization with a focus on execution and results
  • Ensure alignment between sales and operations to support execution and customer satisfaction
  • Help shape market strategy, including expansion into applied equipment and more complex service offerings

About You:

  • Experience managing a P&L in the $10M+ range within commercial HVAC/mechanical service
  • Strong operations background in commercial HVAC with the ability to lead from the front
  • Deep understanding of service business metrics (labor, margin, contract performance, pull through ratios)
  • Experienced in leading technicians, service teams, and support staff
  • Applied HVAC experience strongly preferred
  • Comfortable operating in a hands-on, growth-oriented environment
  • Experience with CRM systems (BuildOps exposure is a plus)
