Location: South Florida
Compensation: $125,000 – $140,000 base salary + bonus + Relocation Package

About the Role: This is a product engineering role with a commercial HVAC equipment manufacturer building complex applied equipment for industrial, commercial, and mission critical environments. The right person will work on both new product development and sustaining engineering, while staying closely connected to manufacturing, sales, quality, service, and customer requirements.
This is a strong fit for someone who understands HVAC equipment design, enjoys solving real product problems, and wants to be involved in the full lifecycle of the equipment from design review through production support, documentation, compliance, and field feedback.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Support new product development, sustaining engineering, design improvements, and continuous improvement of existing products.
• Review factory orders and engineered-to-order requirements to ensure designs meet customer specifications, applicable standards, and sound engineering principles.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, purchased part specifications, bills of material, procedures, catalog materials, installation manuals, and other product documentation.
• Work closely with electrical, controls, pressure vessel, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, sales, warranty, and service teams to keep projects moving.
• Assist production in resolving technical issues encountered during fabrication, assembly, testing, or shipment.
• Support product quality, safety, performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Participate in product certification and compliance activities tied to AHRI, ETL, and other applicable standards.
• Provide technical support to sales, marketing, warranty, quality, production, affiliated teams, and customers as needed.
• Support customer-specific requirements, unit selections, technical compliance reviews, and pricing adds for special configurations.
• Assist purchasing with component sourcing, raw material specifications, vendor evaluation, and quality feedback.

About You:

• 2+ years of product engineering, design engineering, or mechanical engineering experience within commercial or industrial HVAC equipment.
• Experience working for a commercial or industrial HVAC equipment manufacturer is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong technical understanding of HVAC equipment, refrigeration systems, air conditioning systems, or applied mechanical systems.
• Experience with air-cooled chillers, water-cooled chillers, screw compressors, centrifugal equipment, heat exchangers, or similar applied HVAC equipment is highly preferred.
• Able to review technical requirements, drawings, specifications, and customer-driven product configurations.
• Comfortable working across engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, sales, service, and warranty teams.
• Organized enough to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and documentation requirements at the same time.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, FEA, or similar engineering tools is preferred.
• Willing to be on-site with the engineering and manufacturing teams.
