Engineering Manager
Location: South Florida
Compensation: $135,000 – $160,000 base salary + bonus + Relocation Package
About the Role: This is an engineering leadership role with a commercial HVAC equipment manufacturer building complex applied equipment for industrial, commercial, and mission critical environments. The right person will lead a team of product and design engineers, keep engineering closely tied to the production floor, and help drive both new product development and sustaining engineering.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product engineers, design engineers, and technical specialists.
- Oversee engineering priorities across product development, sustaining engineering, product application, and factory order support.
- Review product designs and engineered-to-order factory jobs to ensure they meet customer requirements, applicable standards, and sound engineering principles.
- Drive continuous improvement of existing products, including design enhancements, reliability improvements, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Support new product development tied to commercial HVAC equipment, market needs, regulatory requirements, and customer applications.
- Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, sales, warranty, and service to resolve technical issues and keep projects moving.
- Provide hands-on engineering support when production, field service, quality, or customers need technical direction.
- Lead product certification and compliance efforts tied to AHRI, ETL, safety, performance, and quality requirements.
About You:
- 5+ years of engineering management experience within commercial or industrial HVAC equipment.
- Strong technical understanding of air conditioning systems, chillers, refrigeration, or applied HVAC equipment.
- Experience working an HVAC equipment manufacturer.
- Chiller manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
- Comfortable leading engineers while still being close enough to the technical work to challenge designs and solve problems.
- Able to balance new product development, sustaining engineering, custom factory orders, and day-to-day production support.
- Strong working knowledge of engineering standards, quality requirements, product compliance, and design documentation.
- Practical, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities without losing sight of customer, manufacturing, and product requirements.
