Manufacturing Engineer
Growing HVAC
Manufacturing Engineer
Location: South Florida
Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 base salary + bonus + Relocation Package
About the Role: This is a manufacturing engineering role with a growing equipment manufacturer building complex products for commercial, industrial, and mission critical environments. The right person will focus on how the product is built: process flow, tooling, work instructions, plant layout, routings, labor standards, and continuous improvement.
This is a strong fit for someone who likes being on the production floor, finding bottlenecks, improving how work gets done, and helping a factory build with more consistency, speed, and efficiency. HVAC experience is not required; real manufacturing process experience is what matters most.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Improve manufacturing processes tied to fabrication, assembly, tooling, materials, workflow, and production efficiency.
- Perform time studies, cycle time analysis, line balancing, labor estimates, and process improvement work.
- Develop and improve plant layouts, work centers, routings, standard hours, and ERP/JDE manufacturing data.
- Create and maintain work instructions, SOPs, process documentation, and training materials for production teams.
- Support tooling, jigs, fixtures, and other manufacturing methods that improve quality, consistency, and output.
- Partner with production, quality, engineering, maintenance, and management to reduce waste and improve throughput.
- Use lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, PFMEA, SMED, and poka-yoke.
- Help evaluate equipment, vendors, maintenance needs, production costs, staffing requirements, and future manufacturing capacity.
About You:
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or industrial engineering experience in a production environment.
- Experience improving manufacturing processes on a real production floor is required.
- Background in industrial machinery, automotive, aerospace, defense, appliances, electronics, metal fabrication, or similar manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, process improvement, time studies, line balancing, routings, and work instructions.
- Comfortable working directly with operators, supervisors, engineers, quality, maintenance, and production leadership.
- Able to turn floor observations into practical process improvements, cost reductions, and better production flow.
- Experience with ERP systems, CAD/CAM, Microsoft Office, and manufacturing documentation.
- Degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
What We Offer:
- Performance-based bonus opportunity.
- 401(k) with company match.
- Health, dental, and vision benefits.
- Relocation support available for the right candidate.
- Opportunity to improve a real manufacturing operation with direct impact on production output and efficiency.
- Hands-on role working closely with production, engineering, quality, maintenance, and plant leadership.
- Strong platform to apply lean manufacturing and process improvement in a growing factory environment.
